Terroir led, micro seasonal, British food
We can cater for Vegan, Vegetarian and all allergies/dietary requirements but we must be notified at time of booking. If not notified until the day of the meal, you may have to miss some courses.
We only have the meat menu available unless another menu is prebooked.
We require full payment for food at time of booking, however you can get a refund (not within 72hrs of your booking date) if your plans change. Please see the terms and conditions on the booking site. The tasting menu costs £45 per person.
There is no menu, the food served on any particular night will be informed directly by what is outside in that moment.
Our phillosophy is to give you many small courses (10-12) the dishes distilled down to their essence, only containing what it needs to. A sample menu can be seen here
Our service is informal, relaxed and fun.
Dinner starts at 7pm and takes approximately 3 hours. Dress code is casual
Pre booking of taxis is strongly recommended.
Rask is our new midweek menu, initially this will open on Thursday evenings.
It will follow the same ethos as Wild Shropshire but act as an introduction to Wild Shropshire or offer the chance to come and have a condensed menu perfect for a school night.
Please note that our matching drinks packages wont be available for Rask, however there will be our usual wines and beers available.
The Rask tasting menu will cost £35 and can be booked here
Wild Shropshire book
The Wild Shropshire cookbook is a 200 page overview/recipe book from our time at Ternhill Farm House.
It examines the restaurants ethos, the ideas behind the food and the dishes themselves.
This has been a collaborative effort between myself and the fantastically talented Nat Moore from The Photographers Table.
It costs £23 (inclusive of P+P) and can be bought here:
We try to tell the same story with our drinks selection as we do our food.
An ever changing selection focussing what we believe to be great at that time, weighing heavily on natural, organic and biodynamic varieties.
Our wine menu is curated by Robin Nugent of Iron and Rose in Shrewsbury.
Alongside our drinks menu we serve a matching wine flight, matching beer flight and our foraged cocktails.
I'f you'd like to see James cook, he's appearing at the upcoming festivals:
